About Counselling
A soft place to land, somewhere to feel heard, seen and supported
What is Psychotherpy and Counselling?
Motherhood brings profound change — not just in the early months, but often long after. Whether you’re newly postpartum or years into mothering, you may find yourself feeling overwhelmed, anxious, on edge, or like you’ve lost touch with who you are. Many mothers carry a quiet sense of exhaustion, self-doubt, or disconnection that doesn’t always ease with time.
I offer psychotherapy and counselling for mothers at any stage of their journey who feel lost, overwhelmed, or anxious and want support to feel more grounded, confident, and connected to themselves again.
Psychotherapy and counselling provide a safe, compassionate space to slow down and explore what you’re experiencing — emotionally, relationally, and in your body. This work is not about diagnosing or fixing you, but about understanding your experience in the context of your life, relationships, and the world you are mothering in.
Counselling is often shorter-term and can be helpful when you’re navigating a specific challenge, such as anxiety, relationship strain, parenting stress, or a difficult season of motherhood. Psychotherapy takes a deeper, more exploratory approach. It supports longer-term change by gently exploring patterns, identity shifts, nervous system responses, attachment experiences, and past events that may be shaping how you feel and respond — including changes that can emerge well beyond the postpartum period.
My approach is holistic, relational, and non-pathologising. I draw on attachment-based therapy, somatic psychotherapy, parts work (IFS-informed), and expressive approaches to support mothers through overwhelm, anxiety, identity changes, grief and loss, relationship transitions, and the emotional load of caring for others.
This is a space to be honest, to feel supported, and to reconnect with yourself — without judgement, pressure, or quick fixes.
You are not broken. You are responding to a life that asks a great deal of mothers.
