Postpartum Care
Nurturing you in the sacred postpartum period
What is Postpartum Care?
Postpartum care is simply about being held. It’s gentle, practical, emotional support during the early weeks after birth, so you don’t have to do it all on your own. Think of it as someone in your corner who understands the intensity, the beauty, and the messiness of this season — and who’s there to help you land softly as you learn your baby, your new rhythms, and this emerging version of yourself.
Postpartum itself is a sacred window — a time when your body, mind, and identity are all shifting at once. It’s a threshold between who you were and who you are becoming, a tender space that asks for slowness, warmth, nourishment, and care. In many cultures, this period is held with deep reverence, recognising the vulnerability and power of a woman who has just given birth.
My approach to postpartum care honours this. It’s about creating a soft landing for you, offering presence and steadiness in a time that can feel both transformative and fragile. A space where you can rest, heal, be supported, and begin to grow into this new chapter with more ease and connection.
Postpartum Care Package
Preparing for Postpartum (Before Baby Arrives)
Before your baby arrives, we’ll sit down for a 90-minute session to talk through what you want your postpartum to feel like. Every family is different, so we explore things like:
What kind of support actually feels good for you
How to create rest and warmth in those early weeks
What you might need emotionally and physically
How your partner or support people can best show up
Together, we create a simple, nourishing plan that helps you feel prepared rather than overwhelmed.
In-Home Postpartum Visits (Minimum of Three)
Each visit is around two hours and centred completely on you. Every day looks different, so you choose what you need — rest, food, company, space to talk, or just a break.
Here’s what that can include:
Nourishing Meals
Warm, nutrient-dense meals that support healing and give your body the grounding it needs.
Emotional Support
Motherhood brings up a lot — joy, grief, confusion, tenderness, all of it. As a psychotherapist and doula, I offer a calm, non-judgmental space to talk, process, or simply exhale.
Herbal + Gentle Healing Support
Teas, oils, and herbal remedies to support rest, recovery, milk supply, and emotional steadiness. These may include blends for sleep, grounding, postpartum healing, or even a gentle yoni steam.
Practical Help
Light tidying, folding laundry, caring for older siblings, or holding your baby while you rest or shower. Small things that make a big difference in how supported you feel.
